Wranglers set to open season, Rangel back from broken finger.

Caitlyn Rangel and the Wranglers are excited to get back on the field. Last season saw the Wrangler ace miss over half of the conference schedule after suffering a broken finger on her pitching hand. After having a successful fall, Caitlyn is more than ready to kick the spring season off. She will begin her sophomore campaing this Friday at 3:00pm, in Beeville.

Caitlyn had this to say about the umpcoming season.

"I am really excited for this season because it's going to show how much our team has prospered and grown since last year, not only as a team, but also individually. I'm excited to see how much I can accomplish as a pithcer and see how far I can go in obtaining my goals while helping my team achieve our goals. I'm excited to make memories with the group we have this year because, despite our differences, at the end of the day we have a solid group who has each others back. This team is a solid team and if we do everything we need to do, we have the potential to be really great this year."

 Coach Prickett on Caitlyn.

"Caitlyn seems to have a different level of determination this year. She is embracing the leadership role she is in and has worked her tail off. This will be her best year, I have no doubt."

The Wranglers are scheduled to play Alvin CC at 3:00pm and Coastal Bend College at 5:30pm at Veterans Park in Beeville, TX, on Friday and again on saturday at 9:00am and 11:30am.
