March 2nd
Game 1
The Wranglers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 1-0 loss to Weatherford College on Wednesday. The Coyotes took the lead on a double in the second inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Weatherford College pitchers struck out three, while the Wranglers also sat down three. The Coyotes got things started in the second inning when Manney doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. A single by Gomez in the second inning was a positive for Cisco College Wranglers.
Southerland was the winning pitcher for Weatherford College. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out three and walking zero. Caitlyn Rangel took the loss for the Wranglers. Rangel lasted six innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three.
Sherwood and Gomez each managed one hit to lead for the Wranglers. The Wranglers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error, Murley made the most plays with four.
Game 2
Cisco Wranglers couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Weatherford College. The Coyotes took the lead on a groundout in the first inning, when Montoya grounded out, scoring one run.
Amelia Hatthorn was the winning pitcher for Weatherford College, she lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out two. Maya Shelby took the loss for the Wranglers, allowing seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out five.
Camacho, Waller, and Gomez each collected one hit to lead the Wranglers. Cisco Wranglers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error, Avila had the most chances in the field with five.
March 6th
Game 1
Murley showed timely hitting on Sunday, driving in five on three hits, including a grand slam in the second and a single in the fifth, to lead the Wranglers past Weatherford 9-1. Cisco Wranglers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. Big bats that led the inning were by a grand slam from Murley, error on a ball in play by Andersen, and a double by Buck.
Caitlyn Rangel earned the win for the Wranglers, allowing six hits and one run over five innings, striking out four. Teoni Lamb took the loss for Weatherford, lasted four and two-third innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs, striking out four.
Cisco Wranglers tallied ten hits on the day. Murley, Buck, and Avila all managed multiple hits for the Wranglers, Murley leading with three hits out of four at bats.
Game 2
The Wranglers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to Weatherford. The Coyotes took the lead on a double in the first inning. Struggling to contain the high-powered offense of the Coyotes, the Wranglers gave up seven runs.
In the first inning, Weatherford got their offense started when Horton doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The Coyotes scored three runs in the seventh inning, big bats were led by Gutierrez and Nixon all sending runners across the plate.
Chloe Sales earned the win for Weatherford, surrendered one run on two hits, striking out six and walking zero. Maddy Martinez took the loss for Cisco allowing six hits and six runs over six innings, striking out eight.
Murley went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wranglers in hits.
